Clarity Vision is a four-piece stoner/doom metal band from Moscow, Russia. Fomed in 2022, as an unnamed duo consisting of Alexey Roslyakov (guitar) and Galina Shpakovskaya (vocals). The first song they played was a cover version of Depeche Mode’s »Personal Jesus«, which the whole band still plays in rehearsals.

Denis Yakhryushin (bass) and Mikhail Markelov (drums) joined the group in the summer 2022. They started recording their first demo in November of the same year. In January 2023, the first single »Spaces« was released and in March 2023 followed the second single »Motorcycle Meditation«.

Clarity Vision’s self-titled debut EP was released in September 2023 through Addicted Label. Available now on all streaming platforms.

Can you say a few words about your band?
Clarity Vision is a band that plays a mixture of modern stoner metal and good old 70s doom with a psychedelic flavor. Formed in autumn 2022 in Moscow, Russia.

What was the biggest challenge for the band last year?
We think the biggest challenge for the band last year was a recording our EP »Clarity Vision«. Because that was our first professional recording in a good studio.

What can you be most proud of so far?
I think we can be proud of our life passion. Because in that statement we are creating our music.

What was your biggest regret?
We have no regrets. All what we do with our band is the best we can do at the moment, but I know that each of us can do more that thinking.

What was the best concert/tour last year and why?
It was our performance at Born Again, a doom/stoner/sludge festival on 9/15/23 in Jao-Da Club. Was a nice atmosphere in there and awesome quality of sound!

What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
Well so many good albums was posted at 2023. Can’t remember all of them. I’ll just tell you few that I’m still listening when I have a time for that: Kadabra – »Umbra«, Kanaan – »Downpour«, Florist – »Contact«, Saint Karloff – »Paleolithic War Crimes«, Giobia – »Acid Disorder« and Slower – »Slower«.

What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Many good old songs and many new, but at first it’s ourselves new material.

Can you say something more about the music scene in Moscow?
In Moscow, the situation with musical groups is changing. Some musicians stop working for various reasons, but new groups also appear in different musical genres. We rehearse in a very large building complex, where are many rehearsal rooms, and passing by you can hear punk music, death metal, shoegaze rock, stoner rock.

Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
For now, we play more often in Moscow. Last year we played a concert in Yaroslavl. We plan to expand our live activities in the future.

What are your plans for the future as a band?
We are currently working on new material as I said above. This will be a full-length album. But before the album we plan to release a single. New releases will be more elaborate. We plan to release the single by the end of 2024.

How can people best support your band?
The best support to our band will be to follow us on Instagram and Bandcamp and repost our pages. It will be great! And so order our merch.

Do you have any message for your listeners?
We are a band where every listener is important! Thank you for your attention to our creativity. We plan to continue to delight you with new music. We hope to see you at our live performances.
