Riastrad is a female-fronted heavy stoner/doom band from Portland, OR.

Riastrad was first formed in 2010 in Portland, when guitarist Damion Lazzara partnered with drummer Peter Bordokoff to record the music that would become the »Driving Into The Sun« EP. Peter was unable to commit after the recording, but a mutual friend introduced Damion to drummer Lance Paden, who would then help to bring in guitarist Justin Romito and bassist/vocalist Ryan Thomas to round out the lineup and complete the EP.

This lineup would perform from 2011 to 2013, but with internal conflicts arising by then, the band came to a seeming end. Cut to 2022, and with the global Covid-19 pandemic winding down, Lance contacted Damion to get together and jam. After doing so a few times, they agreed to resurrect Riastrad, bringing in Paige Parker on vocals as recommended by a mutual friend, and Todd Dehart on bass. This new lineup played their first show in December 2023, and has recently recorded their first full-length album, released in February 2026.
