US based shoegaze/grunge/alternative rock band Vaureen return with new EP »Leveler«; out now via Rising Pulse Records!

Brooklyn, New York based shoegaze/grunge/alternative rock band Vaureen presents their new EP, »Leveler«, which was just released on August 22nd, 2025 via Rising Pulse Records. Featuring drummer Kellii Scott (Failure) and bassist Michael MacIvor (Candiria, LaMacchia).

Vaureen is a female-fronted alternative rock band based in Brooklyn, New York.

Vaureen started in Brooklyn in the mid-2010s, when co-workers Andrea Horne and Marianne Do began experimenting with layered iPhone recordings and guitar loops. After Cale Hand joined on drums, the band self-released their first EP, »Violence«, in November 2016. Two years later they followed up with a full-length album, »Extraterra«, released on Rising Pulse Records.

Plans to record and release more songs in 2020 derailed with the global pandemic – an experience that inspired Vaureen’s newest EP, »Leveler«. Today Vaureen continues with Andrea at the songwriting helm, working with close collaborators in Milwaukee, New York City, and beyond.
