Dutch doom/death metal band Sad Whisperings announces new EP »Strategy Of Tension«; out October 4th via Vidar Records!

Groningen, Netherlands based doom/death metal band Sad Whisperings has announced their new EP, entitled »Strategy Of Tension«, which will be released on October 4th, 2025 via Vidar Records.

The label comments: “Vidar Records presents the title and artwork of the upcoming Sad Whisperings EP »Strategy Of Tension« (VR009cd).

We will take pre-orders from mid September to release-date 4th of October. Be sure to grab one, coz they are pretty limited.”

Holland’s early death doom metallers Sad Whisperings are back in business. More energetic than ever.

A number of shows have already been played with the likes of Deadhead, O.L.T.A.S., Death Möth and Morning Beloveth, with more to come.

New material is written and recorded and will be released in the near future. In the meantime a video for the 1998 track »The Land Of Silence« was released.

The band originally founded in the early 90s, produced 3 demo tapes and 1 album for Foundation 2000 Records. In 2023 VIC Records released a remastered reissue of the album »Sensitive To Autumn«, available on CD and Vinyl, and the remastered demo’s on »Return To Autumn«, available on CD.
