In a forgotten patch of a desolate grove, under haunted frames of ancient pines, no scattered leaves or tempting fruit, just me and dust among the roots. With zephyrous winds in shifting skies and the distant echoes of sparrow’s cries, voices from somewhere in the shadows wrapped around me like some vines. Trees tell me their secrets… that there was no Eden and there is no abyss, and in defiance of a lack of reason, we only are how we persist.

And so it is that Miscellen returns with their 7th full-length album, »Emerald Ash«. Instead of just another rascal’s delight, »Emerald Ash« presents a balance of catharsis and contemplation that reflects being shaped but not shattered by a turbulent world and the inexorable flow of time. Simpy put, resilience as an act of defiance.
