The song explores the most intimate and darkest part of the band’s imagination: an inner space where memories and emotions resurface, suspended outside of reality.

“A flower that would like to open its corolla, if only it weren’t too dark. Datura flowers are twilight flowers.”

The Manaus project was born from a personal need to exorcise the ghosts of the soul through music, and aims to involve the listener in a sort of ritual. Distorted, swirling guitars create a claustrophobic environment where an ethereal, rasping voice acts as guide: an alternation of dilated, dreamlike moments with tight, pressing spaces. The variety of our musical background collides and merges in a blend of esotericism and space/mental travel, which results in a mesmerizing and psychedelic live performance. The main elements that characterize the band’s sound are those of doom rock, psych, and alternative, influences that blend to create an original sound.
