The Medea Project’s last studio album, »Kharon«, was an emphatic statement of the band’s identity. It drew out all the finest elements of their 2020 »Sisyphus« debut album, added the confidence to experiment and explore that was so clearly represented on 2023s »Reflections« EP and infused the blend with vision, imagination and an all enveloping atmosphere.
»Kharon« was launched, in the company of The River and My Silent Wake, at the Dingwalls 2 venue in London’s Camden Town on June 20th of this year, with The Medea Project’s customary electrifying live performance reaching new heights, inspired by the album they were promoting. The chaos that was unleashed that sultry summer night was captured in all its raw passion, haunting ambience and underworld aura and is presented in memoriam as »Live At Dingwalls«.

New tracks like »Dance Of The Void« and »Upon Your Bones (Stygian Surf)« herald the triumphant arrival of »Kharon« – and that album’s transformative powers bring a deeper darkness to the ancient »Babylon« – a song that dates back to the very beginnings of The Medea Project’s odyssey through the hinterlands of music. The set is completed by an exhilarating »F.E.A.R.« and an epic collision and conflation of »The Desert Song« and »The Cave Song«, bleeding black magic from every pore. »Live At Dingwalls« is the sound of The Medea Project exactly as they were heard on the night of June 20th – no tampering, no re-recording – an official bootleg of what was a very special night for all in attendance.
»Live At Dingwalls« will be available exclusively from The Medea Project Bandcamp page, complete with sleeve art designed by the band’s own Brett Minnie. On January 9th a doorway back in time will be opened. Step through and revisit the birth of »Kharon…Live At Dingwalls«.
