Split is all about settling scores with yourself, the world and the rage of wanting to get out of it. Between hardcore punk, crust and blackened noise, Marvin Borges-Soares (ex-Structures) makes Split a collection of hatred where each line comes from demons witnessing a world corrupted by violence, precariousness, addiction and death.
Split’s debut album, »Violence Breeds Violence«, is a dark and uncompromising sonic manifesto. Across 7 tracks, the band delivers an intense and cathartic journey through hardcore energy, blending raw rage, pain and urgency.
Lyrically, the record tackles heavy and visceral themes – domestic violence, police brutality, poverty, depression, addiction, death – making it both a cry of survival and an act of resistance.
A first strike that sets the tone for Split and marks its arrival on the French extreme music scene.
