Krypta’s sophomore album out in April

The Finnish occult rock torchbearer Krypta returns with a new album »Unen oma«, out on April 10th, 2026 via Svart Records. Combining catchy hooks and melodic distorted guitars, Krypta’s poetic and melancholic lyrics stem from the mysticism, horror, and romance of the mind. In Krypta’s songs, the human mind is like a valley where nothing is what it seems – one’s own deluded thoughts lead to paths that one never knew they would end up walking. In Krypta’s world, the dimensions of time and space are one, and this is reflected in the lyrics’ contemplative nature. Despite their melancholy, however, the lyrics always contain a glimmer of hope.

Thematically, the lyrics on the upcoming album »Unen oma« explore the interface between lies and truth, the many dimensions of dreams, and the end of the world, without forgetting comfort and mercy.

The new single »Muuttuva labyrintti« serves as the opening track for the band’s upcoming second album titled »Unen oma«. The album will be released by Svart Records on April 10th, 2026.

»Muuttuva labyrintti« continues Krypta’s unique style, combining Finnish rock, occult rock, and pop influences, which the band introduced on their first album, »Outo laakso« (2023). The song’s production features growling distorted guitars supported by retro-style electric organs and a gothic-style harpsichord. The first single, which showcases the rockier side of the upcoming album, leads the listener into dreamlike states of horror and deep into the dark depths of the mind.
