South Australia’s doom metal band Rocky’s Pride & Joy to release new single »Pull On My Chains« on January 23rd!

Adelaide, Australia based doom metal band Rocky’s Pride & Joy is gearing up to release their new single »Pull On My Chains« on January 23rd, 2026.

Pre-save »Pull On My Chains« HERE.

Crashing in like an amplified thunderstorm, »Pull On My Chains« will rattle your windows and get your dog barking like it’s midnight on new years eve.

The massive opening riff gives way to a dark and brooding verse, something lurks in the shadows, horrifying in it’s mystery, yet our protagonist is unfazed as the chorus explodes and he taunts his captor with the refrain of »Pull On My Chains«. A universally defiant statement to anything or anyone that tries to hold you back.

As the final left turn hits like a hairpin, the sludge is dialed up to 11 and the chains are obliterated with a nasty chugging riff that puts such a strong full stop on the song that there may be a hole punched into your speakers.

Rocky’s Pride & Joy are not messing around, and »Pull On My Chains« is cold hard proof of that.

Rocky’s Pride & Joy are a doom metal band from South Australia established in 2021. After navigating the live music scene during peak pandemic and honing their sound, the band released their debut album »All The Colours Of Darkness« in 2023 on Italian record label Electric Valley Records and debuted at #15 on the global Doom Charts and received acclaim and acknowledgements from outlets such as Knotfest and Doomed and Stoned.

2025 was a landmark year, seeing the band support international heavyweights such as Conan (UK), Pallbearer (USA), and Stoned Jesus (UKR) while switching from a trio to a four piece to refine their signature crushing sound; both in a live setting and in the studio during the recordings of their highly anticipated sophomore album which is slated for release in 2026.

Their brand new single »Pull On My Chains« is a monolithic slab of doom that delivers towering riffs, suffocating low end, and an oppressive atmosphere that showcases the band at their heaviest and most focused. The track marks the first release from this forthcoming album and will be out on all streaming platforms on Friday 23 January 2026.

Also in January, the band will appear at Froth & Fury Festival at the Adelaide Showgrounds joining a lineup that includes Polaris, In Hearts Wake and Terminal Sleep, among more than 30 other National and International heavy acts.

Rocky’s Pride & Joy are Brenton Wilson (guitar & vocals), Fraser Ray (guitar), Dominic Ventra (bass), and Jessi Tilbrook (drums).
