Leiria, Portugal based psychedelic doom metal band Lord Of Confusion has announced their second full-length, »The Weight Of Life«, which will be released on March 20th, 2026 via Larvae Records and Morbid And Miserable Records.

Larvae Records states: “Lord Of Confusion are one of the bands we’ve been wanting on our roster for years.

Recently, we had the pleasure of releasing their acclaimed debut album »Evil Mystery« on vinyl for the first time, and we have now been given the honor of releasing the band’s second album – which, although we may be biased, we already consider one of the standout releases of 2026.”

CD edition via Larvae Records, with the vinyl edition co-released alongside the American label Morbid And Miserable Records.

Lord Of Confusion comment on the new album: “»The Weight Of Life«’s first ideas were thrown around somewhere in 2023, and we finished writing those songs in late 2024. A lot has changed inside the band and in everyone’s life, so this came out as a way to mark a new stage for everyone. The recordings took place in January of 2025 at garage16.studio , and the last details were done later in March that year. A lot of work was put into the mixing stage, and the master was done by Chris Fielding himself. This record shows a big step forward for us. The songs present more movement, more noise, and more influences without ever losing our signature sound. The band is super proud of it, and we cannot wait to show it to you.”
