Ludwigsburg, Germany based instrumental progressive/post-rock collective Inspired By Illusions presents their second full-length album »interferences«, which was just released independently on February 7th, 2026.

Illusions. They play with our thoughts. Fictions seem real. They reveal new perspectives, are deceptive hopes. Imagination and illusion at the same time.
Something like that could be used to describe the inspiration for our music, which moves in the field of tension between the genres of post-rock/metal, alternative and progressive.
Our sound emerges from the interplay of very different elements, always instrumental and rounded of with delay, reverb and distortion. Spherically gliding sound surfaces, fine melody lines, urgently hard outbursts and rhythmic accents create a broad panorama of emotional states in which you can let yourself go in different ways – but be careful! You should never be too sure which level of reality you are dealing with, because the impression could be deceptive and the illusion possibly shatered.
»interferences« is an album about the here and now – about the shimmer of the moment, unfolding like the iridescent spectrum of a soap bubble. It celebrates the beauty of the present, where everything vibrates, flows, and refracts – while also reminding us of its transience, as the bubble inevitably bursts.
The music moves within the tension between construction and dissolution, between the constructive and the destructive. The songs carry traces of resonance and friction, of harmony and disruption. To intensify these feelings and thoughts in our music we joined forces with Hoving – a Stuttgart ambient artist – who created and added really nice ambient touches on the tracks »into the void« and »reflections | diffuse«.
Furthermore wemissedthesky – a Stuttgart post-rock project – are adding their dreamy and spacey sounds on »afterglow«. You can say the result is a sonic landscape that captures not only the fragility of existence, but also its intensity – an echo of the interferences that shape our lives.
