Greek progressive alternative/post-rockers Playgrounded unveil new live video for »Our Fire«

Rotterdam, Netherlands based progressive alternative/post-rockers Playgrounded have unveiled new live video for the song »Our Fire« taken from their latest album »The Death Of Death«.

Filmed and produced by Alex Kraudelt for Frameshock Productions on the EU/UK tour in 2022 with The Ocean and LLNN. Every shot from a different city out of the 36 cities / 22 countries the tour covered.

It’s been almost four years since we went on a mammoth tour alongside The Ocean and LLNN; thirty-six cities, twenty-two countries, thousands of people we had the honour to share our music with. That tour shaped us in many ways, gave us so many memories to cherish and also this video, shot and edited by our good friend Alex Kraudelt who sat on different sides of the stage every night to film each of the shots you see in the music video. Every shot, a different city…

The red lights of the tour were tirelessly handled by Light Me Tender while the live sound was meticulously crafted by Alexi Keito (and for a few shows by Victor Jacobs).

Playgrounded is a rock band based in Rotterdam, Netherlands and Athens, Greece. Alternative metal and contemporary electronic elements form a genre defying sound that has been compared to artists as diverse as Deftones and Massive Attack, Karnivool, The Ocean and Moderat.

The 2017 release of Playgrounded’s first full-length album »In Time With Gravity« united representatives of the rock press throughout Europe in critical acclaim. The tour that followed in major Dutch and Greek cities culminated in an invitation for the band to close the Nine Inch Nails show in Amsterdam’s AFAS Live arena. They have also shared the stage with artists such as Anathema and Riverside.

The band released their latest record »The Death Of Death« with Pelagic Records on March 18th, 2022. On »The Death Of Death«, Playgrounded analyse and take apart their surroundings, reducing reality to its smallest components, subsequently converting them into sound to create a new platform – a representation of reality from which they build their artistic vision.

In essence »The Death Of Death« is dialectical, a study of unity in opposition. A disclosure of contradictory aspects of reality, an expression of their mutual relationship. From these contradictions the band manages to construct a brooding world of dark magnificence.

»The Death Of Death« has the appeal of a film score that slowly starts to haunt you as the movie progresses. The more you listen to it, the more its sublime beauty becomes apparent.
