Daffodil Pill is a band from Wrocław, Poland combining neo-psychedelia with surf-rock motorics and instrumentation such as sitar, theremin, and organs. The band is evolving towards faster tempos and raw energy. The group has performed over 80 concerts, and released their studio debut in 2024, produced by Marcin Bors. Daffodil Pill was featured on the international compilation by Weedian »Trip to Poland«.

»Live at NCPP« is an album by the Wrocław quartet recorded in Opole at the National Centre of Polish Song (Narodowe Centrum Polskiej Piosenki). The record features six new tracks along with two known from the debut album »Daffodil Pill«.

The live recording functions as a full-fledged album, prioritizing raw energy, surf rock, and neo-psychedelia over studio production methods. The material is constructed as a single cohesive organism where tracks flow seamlessly into one another, creating an uninterrupted structure that was processed through analog cassette tape in the final stages.

The album »Live at NCPP« is based on sonic and lyrical dualisms, balancing themes of day and night as well as safety and risk. The journey begins with the trance-like composition »Loopin’ Back«, followed by the dreamlike »Spirit Switcher« and the hippie-styled »Summer Children«. As it progresses, the record takes on a darker character through the tracks »Gilgamei« and »Ancient Thoughts«, ultimately finding release in the closing piece, the raw and fast-paced »Wanna Feel It’. »Live at NCPP« constitutes a raw, organic, and psychedelic ritual.

The cover art for »Live at NCPP« was created by the band’s drummer, Adam Chmura, who returned to drawing after a decade-long hiatus. He produced a unique kaleidoscope of faces and emotions that corresponds with the group’s new, more intense musical direction.

The singles that announced the album »Live at NCPP« were »Wanna Feel It« and »Loopin’ Back«.
