Damask is an open music project founded in 2025 in Tricity (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot), Poland by Weno Winter (Sautrus) joined by bassist Adrian Jegorow (Hellvoid, Sautrus). The project’s music pairs the weight of doom metal with the intimacy of acoustic compositions and elements of folk. The band moves between dense low-tuned sound and simple song forms.

»Three Times Ten« is the debut album from Damask, based on ideas gathered over the last 20 years. Each of the eight tracks contained within is a separate story. They include reflections on fascination with and blindness to religion, the fear of death and coming to terms with its inevitability, lies and self-deception, or the madness that accompanies us when trying to understand the world.

Together, the eight compositions on »Three Times Ten« constitute a thirty-five-minute journey, which despite its diversity, has its own subtle common denominator – reflections on the world around us.

»Three Times Ten« was composed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Weno Winter at Winter Tales Studio in Gdynia. The recording session featured Adrian Jegorow, Paweł Łach, Jakub Modrzejewski (Soma), Krystian Papiernik (Stare Urge, Sautrus), and Michał Nowak.

Damask formula is based on the absence of rigid stylistic boundaries and collaboration with guest musicians. The lineup is selected based on the character of specific material.

Damask is an initiative originating from the Tri-City area, with its creative base located in the project’s Winter Tales Studio in Gdynia.

The single that announced Damask’s debut album was a cover of Roy Harper’s »All You Need Is«.
