Speedslut is a four-piece blackened speed metal band from Aalborg, Denmark.
Under the cursed smokestacks of the North Jutland Heath, Speedslut emerges. Wielding the unbridled fury of the early metal scene their sonic onslaught is a call to violence.
From the very beginning, Speedslut embraced the ethos of speed, power, and unapologetic defiance, garnering critical acclaim and fervent support from fans and critics alike, recognizing the band’s dedication to their craft, as well as their unrelenting live shows. Their shows are described as intense and continuous, a set built around the doctrine of total sonic supremacy, a loud and direct show of force.
The band’s first recorded statement, »Ferocity Of Steel«, was a clear representation of the band’s direction, a foreboding release rooted in early metal yet described by critics as channeling the genre “apocalyptic blackened speed”. »Ferocity Of Steel« firmly established the band’s identity and revealed them to the world.
Speedslut has remained true to their foundation and will continue to do so. The band has signed with the French independent record label Listenable Records, who will release the band’s debut full-length album, »Cimbrian Rites«, in the summer of 2026, a natural evolution of the onslaught brought upon the world by »Ferocity Of Steel«.
»Dark Night Riders«, the first single from Speedslut’s upcoming album »Cimbrian Rites«, is a violent charge across derelict highways on steeds of steel. Inspired by the Midnight-like sounds of black rock n roll and the early blackened speed scene Speedslut continues to embrace the ethos of speed, power, and unapologetic defiance; their sonic onslaught a call to violence.
