Australian funeral doom metal/ambient act Spirit Temple to release new album »The Fifth Scroll« on June 26th!

Australian funeral doom metal/ambient act Spirit Temple has announced their fifth album, »The Fifth Scroll«, which will be released on June 26th, 2026.

The music of Spirit Temple continues to be primarily inspired by Skyrim and is presented in the form of atmospheric death doom with ambient and/or drone elements. Each song is designed as a short journey rather than having a traditional song structure.

All elements of »The Fifth Scroll«, including recording, mixing, mastering and album cover were handled by one person. The tracks were recorded in the order that they appear on the album, which has hopefully created a cohesive flow throughout the runtime.

As with all previous releases, the album was mixed and edited with a focus on the album as a whole and I would argue it is best listened to in its entirety. Songs are generally on the longer side, but the album clocks in at just under 45 minutes.
