“Alder Tree is an opportunity to learn, experiment and grow through the process of making music.”

»Sector Light Failure« is a conceptual ambient and drone album built around maritime signals, lighthouse systems, navigation equipment and the gradual erosion of certainty.

Inspired by coastal landscapes, fog, offshore transmissions and the machinery designed to guide vessels through darkness, the album explores repetition, isolation, disorientation and psychological decay through slow-moving textures and evolving soundscapes.

Many of the track titles are derived from real nautical terminology, lighthouse technology and navigational systems. These elements serve as both technical references and metaphors for guidance, failure, perception and the fragile structures we rely on to orient ourselves.

Created as a continuous listening experience, »Sector Light Failure« unfolds gradually across ten instrumental pieces, moving from clarity towards interference, instability and collapse.

Released on World Oceans Day, June 8th, 2026.
