Momia is a Paraguayan stoner/doom metal band formed in 2025 by musicians from renowned projects in the national scene such as Black Fire, Mano de Gloria, and Super Caos.

Their sound merges the rawness of seventies rock with the power of nineties metal, creating a dense, dark, and forceful atmosphere. With heavy riffs, immersive textures, and a strong identity, Momia draws inspiration from both classic hard rock and Latin American metal.

The current lineup features Gabo Murphy (guitar and backing vocals), Mabe Bongiovi (keyboards and backing vocals), Oni Páez (bass), José Martínez (drums), and Pablo López (lead vocals). Their lyrics explore literary fiction, cosmic horror, and the human condition through a dark and evocative aesthetic.

Since 2026, Momia has become a solid presence in Paraguay’s heavy music scene, delivering intense and direct performances that connect with those who find in rock and metal an authentic expression of strength, emotion, and freedom.
