What’s the sound of 50 people saying WTF at the same time?
Introducing Buzzard’s International WTF Tabernacle Choir, the new single »Hillbilly Fuckery« delivers comedic social commentary set to banjo, lap steel, and filthy fuzz guitar.
One-man-bandleader Christopher Thomas Elliott invited fans from around the world to send recordings of themselves saying “What the fuck?” for inclusion in the next single »Hillbilly Fuckery«.
With over 50 contributions, the result is a global chorus of WTFs voicing the spleen, gall, and heart of the modern age.
»Hillbilly Fuckery« is backed with the B-side »Appalachian Blood Bourbon«, a companion tale of backwoods vampires who become bloodsucking billionaires.
Together, the two songs depict civilizational decline and debauchery with a Buzzardian satirical punch and doom-informed country groove.
Praise for 2025 EP »Everything Is Not Going To Be Alright«:
“I got sent this EP maybe a month ago and I’ve sat with it more than I’ve sat with anything else I’ve listened to this year save for Satiricus Doomicus Americus, which came out in January, and that in the anthemic defiance of “Doom Folk Fury,” I’ve found both catharsis and comfort, and felt a little less alone in the inflicted terrors of this moment for that. While free speech lasts, I can hardly think of a better use to put it toward.” – JJ Koczan, The Obelisk
“… a brilliantly observed and progressively subversive record that’s reflecting our current political age.” – Steve Howe, Outlaws Of The Sun
“It’s hard not to like this album… the sound of a blues rock troubadour fighting the good fight – left-wing and doom-bent.” – Pete, Ninehertz
“It’s all performed with such fluidity and passion that one cannot help but be swept up by the glory that these seven tracks boast in heaps… It hasn’t even been seven months since their universally acclaimed album [Mean Bone] earlier this year, but the dire stake of the world itself has forced Buzzard to move in a way that only they can do in such magnificent fashion.” – Vinterd, Headbanger Reviews
