Ávila-based rock band Lumpem officially released their highly anticipated second studio album, titled »Satura«, on June 26, 2026. This new work represents a giant leap forward in the band’s identity, embracing a powerful sound that pays homage to the roots of 70s hard rock and fuzz rock.

Going against the grain of modern digital productions, Lumpem has chosen to embrace pure authenticity. »Satura« was recorded entirely live and captured directly on analog tape. The result is an organic, energetic, and nuanced sound, where the band’s raw energy and chemistry playing in the same room are palpable.

The album consists of eight songs that move between dark passages, heavy riffs, and straightforward melodies, alternating lyrics in Spanish and English. The lead single, »A Deshoras«, already hinted at the raw atmosphere and meticulous instrumentation that define this LP.

The carefully crafted physical edition of »Satura« is being released by specialized labels within the alternative scene and is available now.

Fans of the classic format can purchase the album on an exclusive 12-inch black vinyl, of which only 200 copies have been released worldwide by Demons Punk Records, Lengua Armada, Noizeland Records, Quarentena Ediciones, Quebranta Records, and Vinilako Records. The album can also be streamed on all major digital platforms and on Demons Records’ official YouTube channel.

Lumpem is a hard rock band formed in Ávila in early 2020. Despite their short career and the hiatus caused by the pandemic, they haven’t stopped working and writing songs, resulting in the recording of an EP titled »Sub«, released in December 2021, which encapsulates all the band’s energy and exuberance. Later, in the summer of 2022, they decided to release the EP in physical format, specifically on vinyl, through a co-release by the labels Quebranta Records, Spinda Records, Lengua Armada, Noizeland Records, Bandera Records, and Vinilako.

This productivity is the result of the band members’ experience and the passion that drives this project. Javier Martín “Petti” (guitar and vocals) and Adrián Hernando “Danko” (drums) were already together in their previous band, Train, with whom they recorded a self-titled EP in 2016. Lumpem is the natural continuation of this project, strengthened by the addition of Jimmy Cuenca on bass, a top-tier musician who has played in other current metal bands such as Hedphelym and Shock After Collapse.

Stylistically, they are difficult to categorize; their compositions show influences from the darkest and heaviest hard rock and heavy psych of the 70s, bringing it into a more contemporary sound with a strong emphasis on fuzz effects. But above all, their approach is honest and original, based on the energy of their songs and the poetic critique of their lyrics, thus reclaiming an era when rock was synonymous with counterculture.

Their main objective is to reach people, seduce them with their music, and return to rock the subversive element that characterizes it.
