Trenton, New Jersey based doom/heavy metal band Jackals’ Feast is back with their second album, »Nightmares Of Drowning In Icy Black Waters«, which will be released on August 20th, 2026.

The old sailor awoke in a panic. It had been the dream again. Every night. Reliving the same moment from his past over and over and over again. The crashing waves. The ship sinking into black waters. And the unearthly sound of that… thing. That creature. That horror beyond his comprehension.

He walked softly over to the window and opened it. He was miles from any coast. Safe. He breathed the night air deeply and listened to the gentle sounds of the forest.

But what was that in the distance? That sound?

What was that sound? It gave him chills. Drums, bass… guitars, lower than any he had heard before, and… and singing? Or was it howling? Was it even human?

He was inexorably drawn to it. Quickly, he dressed himself, went downstairs, and stepped outside. From somewhere deep within the forest, rising above the trees, he could see smoke illuminated by the night’s half moon. That was where the sound was coming from.

He entered the forest…

Jackals’ Feast is a doom metal band hailing from Trenton, New Jersey. The band blends heavy doom aesthetics with thematic elements of mythology, battle hymns and cosmic horror.

They released their debut album »Lost In The Forest And Tormented By Demons« in September 2024 featuring tracks like »Prayer To Crom« and »The Crushing Weight Of The Infinite«. The record is available on Bandcamp and all major streaming platforms.
