Belgian alternative/shoegaze/post-rock band Slow Crush has performed their debut album »Aurora« in its entirety at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Netherlands on April 17th, 2026. You can watch the pro-shot live video of their full set below.

Slow Crush comments: “In early 2017, we were just getting started. We had only played two shows when we recorded a four song demo in our living space, which we released in May. Before we even had a proper release show planned, something unexpected happened: we were invited to play at Roadburn Festival in 2017.
Our booker at the time, longtime friend Jan de Bie, had passed our demo along to Walter from Roadburn. His response was immediate, he wanted us on the lineup. We were stunned. The catch? A 40 minute set, while we only had about 20 minutes of material?!?! So we wrote; quickly, intensely. Those sessions became the foundation of »Aurora«.
That first Roadburn show took place in the Cul de Sac, the festival’s smallest room. From there, everything accelerated. Our demo reached Holy Roar Records, who signed us right away, opening further doors and carrying our music far beyond where we had imagined.
We wrote »Aurora« in a rush during that period, and released it in 2018. It was recorded at The Ranch with Neil Kennedy, beginning a collaboration that has continued ever since. Neil also mixed Hush during the pandemic, while Lewis Johns (who also operates from The Ranch) later worked on our most recent record »Thirst«. This live session, once again mixed by Neil, feels like a full-circle moment.

Since »Aurora« came out, we’ve been deeply touched by the messages you’ve shared with us and the stories of what this record has meant to you, and still means to you. Some of you have told us how it helped you through difficult moments, even how it saved or changed your lives. Hearing that has meant more to us than we can fully express. This record has changed our lives too.
Over the years, we’ve toured relentlessly, growing alongside these songs. Returning to Roadburn in 2026 to perform »Aurora« in full was surreal. Some tracks had stayed with us on stage, while others hadn’t been played in years. Together, they still tell the story of where it all began.
From a 150-cap room to stages many times that size, it’s been a journey we never could have predicted. This record is a snapshot of that beginning and everything that followed.”
