Equisetum is a doom metal project formed by the collaboration between Noctuaria (vocals, lyrics) and Mortifero (all instruments, music), known for their work with Nebrus, Ignis Absconditus, Flusso Delirante Persecutorio and Nott.

»Cor Ex Putredine« is the title of their debut album, which will be released on September 25th, 2026 via My Kingdom Music.

»Cor Ex Putredine« is rooted in the Italian dark sound, with a reference to »Alkaest« by Paul Chain, while expanding into multiple doom trajectories: from the heavier and alienating reminiscences of Celtic Frost, to the more irregular and dissonant approach of Unholy, up to the slow, gothic atmospheres of Type O Negative. Subtle black metal influences emerge, particularly in the construction of rhythmic textures, drawing from the essence of Thorns.

The lyrics, sung in a ritualistic and visionary way by Noctuaria, explores themes of decay and loss.
Death is not an event, death is a process.
