Italian post-stoner quartet Allume return with »Ex Luto«, a darker, heavier and more direct evolution of the sound introduced on their debut album »O.D.E.«. Blending crushing stoner riffs, psychedelic textures, hypnotic grooves and immersive post-metal atmospheres, Allume create music that balances sheer physical impact with emotional and atmospheric depth.

Recorded almost entirely live during the summer of 2024 at Villa Ridente, »Ex Luto« was conceived to preserve the band’s natural chemistry, dynamic intensity and raw energy. Rather than pursuing studio perfection, Allume embraced the imperfections and tension of a genuine live performance, giving the album an organic and immediate character.

Much of the material was written during the suspended months of the pandemic, gradually becoming a cathartic journey through loss, change and transformation. Compared to »O.D.E.«, the new album takes a more direct approach both musically and lyrically, with towering guitar walls, deep psychedelic bass textures and heavy, obsessive grooves rooted in stoner rock. The songs move between crushing riff-driven passages and more immersive, atmospheric moments, always maintaining a strong sense of tension and momentum.

»Ex Luto« is an album about transformation, but also about impact: music designed to breathe, pulse and leave a mark. Its live recording approach makes the interaction between the four members an essential part of the listening experience, capturing Allume at their most visceral and expressive.
