Clutch to release new studio album »Wasted Lands« in January 2027; new music video for title track out now!
American heavy rockers Clutch have unveiled new single and music video »Wasted Lands«, available now on all major digital streaming services.
»Wasted Lands« is the title track off Clutch’s fourteenth studio album, due out on January 22nd, 2027 via the band’s own imprint Weathermaker Music.

Clutch’s fourteenth studio album, »Wasted Lands«, is the sound of a band circling back to what they do best: high-energy, riff-driven rock. They’d actually started down a more experimental path, but scrapped it once it started feeling “weird for weird’s sake,” and instead leaned into an up-tempo, stage-ready sound – though they still found room to try something new, like the band’s first-ever banjo part.
Lyrically, Neil Fallon covers a lot of ground. In the opening track, »The Drifter Returns«, the Georgia Guidestones suffer a rapid disassembly, and in the closing track, »The Message Is Clear«, “every star must explode eventually.” In the blast radius between these two events lives lyrical entropy that exists between the terrestrial world of Colorado’s Highway 50 and the voids of interstellar space. The album was produced by longtime collaborator Machine and released on Weathermaker Music, the band’s own label – just the latest proof of the creative independence Clutch has held onto since 2008.

With more than three decades of musical history, an extremely loyal global fan base, a proven catalog of physical releases and streaming tracks, and an extensive international tour schedule, the band has plenty of momentum for this campaign.
The campaign kicked off on August 28 with the single »The Drifter Returns«. »Beware The Fever« is set for release on November 10, with »Chestburster« serving as the standout track. With new music, major dates in North America, a headlining tour in Australia, and festivals and tours across the EU and the UK surrounding the release, »Wasted Lands« is shaping up to be one of the top priorities of 2027.
