On the autumnal equinox of 23rd September 2026, Pyre Of Descent’s debut album is released. »Albedo«, as it is titled, reflects esoteric experiences of abysmal awe in terrible enchantment. The devotional songs on the album are based around the themes of light, inmost alchemy and the spiritual ecstasies in the tension of becoming and passing.

On »Albedo«, Pyre Of Descent consists of founding member and former vocalist Dave S. on guitar and Daniel S. on bass and vocals.

It features contributions by former collaborator Julia Gaeta on solo guitar and background voice on »Aphotic Light«, Benjamin Hölzl playing Indian harmonium on »At Sea« and Noah See on drums. The album was mixed by Benjamin Hölzl at Sonic Rogue Studio, and mastered by Magnus Lindberg. Cover and band photography by Elvira Akžigitova. The LP layout was done by anopengrave.

»Albedo« is released in cooperation with Rubeus Obex on double vinyl and by Swiss Dark Nights on compact disc.
