German alternative rock band Crimson Spirit drops a music video for the track »Change« taken from their debut album, »Turbulences«, released on December 2nd, 2022. For fans of 90s rock, alternative, grunge and riot grrrl movement!

Says the band: “Thought this deserved a visual. A big thank you to everyone who helped us! Filmwerkstatt Siegen who lent us their camera equipment and especially Lars who helped us in the middle of the night by phone because we didn’t know how to use it lol, OT Grevenbrück, who lent us their super deluxe film projector, really sick thing, and Dennis who spontaneously made time for us to play a game of chess. Love y’all!”

Being brought up in a small town in Germany with an almost non-existent music scene Alex and Jana (aka Violet Rigby) met each other through a shared interest in music and rock culture.

Both of them have individually worked on own projects before, among them black metal project Artair by Alex and Jana’s psychedelic debut album »What Can We Dream Of«, when they decided to work together.

With the intention of bringing something new to the table while still serving old-school vibes, they founded Crimson Spirit and independently released their first single, »I Think I Lost Half Of My Mind« on January 1st, 2021.

Distorted female vocals paired with wild guitars pay homage to the alternative rock movement of the 90s, inspired by artists like Blur, Nirvana and The White Stripes, as well as contemporary artists like Arctic Monkeys and Willow.

Their debut album »Turbulences«, which deals with themes such as emotional instability and identity, further shows their musical diversity, ranging from poppy hooks to melancholic ballads and grungy passages.

With versatile musicians Julian (bass) and Jakob (drums) recently joining the project, and a small but growing fan base, nothing seems to stand in the way of a successful and bright future.
