The band’s debut album, entitled »Profeta«, was released on November 29th, 2023. It features 6 studio songs and 1 live song as a bonus track.
Can you say a few words about your band?
We are Laura la Sangrienta from Lima, Peru, a mix between stoner, heavy rock and rock and roll. Formed by Christian Laura Rios (Kristo) and Enrique Valderrama Laura, it was precisely the common surname that gave their name to the band, adding the adjective “Sangrienta” in relation to the rawness and ferocity of the style they develop. They have had several little girls who have supported them, currently Albert Cest Sánchez and Manuel Villavicencio who support the band in their live performances.
What was the biggest challenge for the band last year?
Definitely the biggest challenge was releasing our debut album, which, in reality, we had pending since before the pandemic. We finally released it on November 29 and we are in the process of maximally disseminating it.
What can you be most proud of last year?
Also as a greatest challenge, since the finished album itself we think is currently our greatest pride, since it took us several months of patience and effort. Likewise, we are pleased with the place we have created for ourselves in the Lima stoner scene, playing very often and in different places with great bands of the style.
What was your biggest regret?
We would have really liked to have released the physical record of our album. For budget and time reasons we were not able to do it last year. However, we plan to be able to physically release it by 2024.
What was the best concert/tour last year and why?
We believe that every concert we participate in is magical. Simply the mere fact of playing our songs live before a small or large audience makes us very excited and we give everything on stage. However, we remember many events that we have shared with great bands from here that we ourselves listened to since we were children or teenagers, such as with Flor De Loto among others.
What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
Something that surprised us a lot was that we recently realized that we were included in Volume IV of La Encicopledia Del Rock Peruano by Pedro Cornejo, a renowned rock writer and connoisseur here in Peru, even days before having virtually published our debut album.
Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
We will be preparing for the first months of this year the live presentation of our debut album. And we will most likely be putting together a festival with many bands from here to strengthen the Lima psychedelic stoner scene. We will still be working on that in the coming weeks.

What are your plans for the this year as a band? What do you personally want the most?
We plan to compose new songs the whole year so we are preparing what could be our 2nd album in the future. And as I mentioned in a previous question, definitely being able to release the physical version of our debut album
How can people best support your band?
The most important thing for us is that the album is spread everywhere. For this we have the album available on many platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, Deezer, Bandcamp among others.
Do you have any message for your listeners?
We greet everyone who listens to us and attends the concerts in which we share the stage with great bands from here. The only way to support the scene is by buying their records, musical merchandise and attending the events that occur weekly. Keep rocking and raising the volume day by day!
