With singles like »Desdén«, »Girasoles«, and »Caída libre«, it was already evident that »Retrovisor« was shaping up to be a genuine sonic odyssey, one that transports the listener through time, capturing the raw and emotive essence of the nineties with a plethora of contemporary touches. Much of this can be attributed to the fact that the band enlisted Pablo Giadach and Federico Zeppelin for recording; Daniel Velásquez and Jurel Sónico for mixing; and even the legendary Jack Endino for mastering – yes, the same Endino who worked with bands like Mudhoney, Nirvana, Tad, Melvins, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, and the late Mark Lanegan.

With »Retrovisor«, the music scene in Chile shines once again. The vibrant energy of Adelaida, currently comprised of Anke Steinhöfel, Jurel Sónico, Joaquín Roa, and Tomás Pérez, immerses the listener in a unique experience that will find its permanent place in the hearts of their numerous followers and in the ears of new listeners encountering the band’s sound for the first time. Thus, the band aligns itself with the new wave of alternative rock emerging from the American continent alongside bands like Fin del Mundo, El Shirota, Las Ligas Menores, Las Nubes and Margaritas Podridas.

»Retrovisor« consists of 9 brand new songs and 4 tracks from »Monolito«, their iconic debut album which now celebrates its tenth anniversary. The band has chosen to revive some of these tracks, giving them a second life and adjusting them to sound more akin to their live performances.

In the midst of their tour presenting their new album across Chile, Adelaida recorded a live session for 20:AM just a few weeks ago, straight from the Lautero studios in Santiago, Chile.
