Nottingham, UK based blackened sludge metal act Tigguo Cobauc share a music video for the second single »Eternal Quietus« taken from their upcoming album, »A Fountain Of Anguish Is Gone«, set to release on April 26th, 2024 via Trepanation Recordings (UK), Fetzner Death Records (EU) and H-Soundmusic Records (Digital).

Tigguo Cobauc’s new effort delves into a visceral exploration of inner turmoil, portraying heartless times, exposed grudges, and a relentless struggle against anxiety. With vivid imagery and intense language, the band captures the raw emotions of despair and violence, painting a bleak picture of the human psyche. The recurring theme of lacking remedies or therapy suggests a profound sense of hopelessness.

Tigguo Cobauc takes the name from its home town of Nottingham (England), being its original name in Anglo Saxon times. Forged by ancient magic in the sandstone depths of the city, the band’s sound can best be described as huge, blending black metal atmospheres, the sheer heaviness of doom, and the raw power of punk.

»A Fountain Of Anguish Is Gone« is the first album recorded and produced directly from the band, apart the drums recorded at Noiseboy Studios (Salford). The album are mixed/mastered by Esben Willems (Monolord producer/drummer) at Berserk Studio (Gothenburg, Sweden).

Tiggou Cobauc are Reno Ramos on bass/vocals, Luca Martello on guitars & Wayne Turton on keys, the 3 instruments blend almost orchestrally creating a wave of sound harking back to the early days of extreme metal yet providing a fresh modern twist which is simply addictive listening. Various influences from early Venom to Bathory and Celtic Frost. Tigguo Cobauc offer one of the most original, powerful bands on the circuit combined with a professional attitude & almost obsessional work ethic.
