Are you afraid of the big bad wolf?
Beware, because with »Not Today, Satan« you are entering the dark territory of Deaf Wolf. The Berlin trio has been roaming the rock, stoner and metal landscape in Germany for over a decade. The band presented its energetic sound live at more than 100 concerts. Their hunger for catchy melodies, hard riffs and driving rhythms is almost insatiable. The fact that the world is fucked up has let its mark on Deaf Wolf. So it’s not surprising that pain, death, loss and the devil are recurring themes on »Not Today, Satan«. Nevertheless, these dark songs are imbued with hope for better times, healing and resistance against evil. »Not Today, Satan« is therefore an atempt to counter the omnipresent darkness with a light.

“Crashing loud music against the noise of a collapsing world” – this has been the motto the Berlin trio Deaf Wolf has been living by for over ten years. During this time, the band released four records, played over 100 concerts and changed its name once. In 2023, Deaf Flow became Deaf Wolf… because it rolls off the tongue more easily.
Deaf Wolf’s driving force is the fun of making music together. Their inspiration derives from a wide variety of areas: Mythology and science, comic heroes and B-movies. This results in danceable songs that combine bizarre or absurd stories with catchy melodies and hard guitar riffs.
“Our aim is to be original and entertaining, not innovative.” However, this does not mean that Deaf Wolf are boring and tame. The band disdains the usual rock’n’roll conventions; they are fingering guitars instead of groupies, eagerly make use of the “Jimi Hendrix thumb technique” though it is consistently rejected by self-claimed experts and ridicule coolness and superficiality.
Deaf Wolf is excited to present »Not Today, Satan« to a wide audience on tour.
