Athens based Empty Frame, one of the most prominent and pioneering bands of the greek alternative scene, have just released their fourth full-length album entitled »Underdogs«. Combining heavy rock with classical instruments such as violin and cello the Empty Frame have created their angriest album to date with the heavier and post elements taking over their sound.

Empty Frame are an alternative rock band from Athens, Greece.

Formed initially with the intention of blending rock with classical instruments such as cello and violin, the band has nowadays become a full-fledged muscular heavy rock unit, expanding their colorful journey to new heights.

Since 2005, Empty Frame have released 4 albums and 2 soundtracks,having caused a sensation both with their innovative sound and their explosive live performances.

Their fourth album called »Underdogs« was released on March 1, 2024, marking the beginning of a new era for the band.

In »Underdogs« the heavier and post-rock elements that have always been there, now dominate, emphasizing the immediacy and commanding power of the pummeling guitar-bass-drums trio on the one hand and their trademark melodic lines provided by the soaring cello-violin combo on the other, a sound that matters and exists in the moment.

Underdogs are all those people who have suffered oppression, discrimination, violence and facing their dead ends, wake up/breathe and rebel. »Underdogs«, however, is a word that also fits Empty Frame too, who, after almost twenty years, continue their journey creating, despite adversity, losses and personal dark moments.
