The Swedish Masters in Gravkväde breathe life into the ghastly realms of funeral doom and depressive black metal. With 4 new lumbering and crushing offerings of utter despair and aural misery, ripe with funereal gloom and ravenous aggression. »Prolog« is a taste of what’s to come as this album marks the beginning of their sonic expansion of 5 conspirators.

There’s nothing I can really compare this group to, and I think that is special in this day and age. Gravkväde can hold their own with the kings in Esoteric & Evoken and with bands like Nyktalgia, Xasthur, Trist & Leviathan. I’m not a big fan of the swedish bands and their sound but when it comes to Gravkväde they are in a league of their own and I cant not get enough. I’m extremely pleased to get to put this album out for them and continue our partnership with one another.
