LOKA was formed in 2023 in Helsinki with members previously known from bands like Radien (Svart Records) and Unkind (Relapse Records, Svart Records etc.). The band draws heavily from the elements of extreme metal such as drone and sludge, channeling heavy anxiety to music. Merciless machines create an unrelenting pulse to heavy walls of sound. LOKA is noise amidst the apocalypse.

LOKA’s debut album »Kuningas Raivolle« (Iron Corpse, Sonic Rites Records) was recorded by Tapio Lepistö at Black Floyd’s Analog Studio in the autumn of 2023. LOKA felt strongly that a fully analogue style of recording would combine perfectly with otherwise heavily pounding music full of machines and synthesizers. Lepistö’s strong background recording extreme metal and hardcore gave the perfect ground to make a powerful debut.
