Basalt is a basic (with few clean tones) effusive rock. It consists primarily of a mixture of guitar-drums-bass silicates and drive- and fuzz-rich feldspar, as well as mostly deafening olivine. Basalt is the volcanic equivalent of stoner rock, which has the same chemical composition.

Biography:
Kassel, 2019: Guitarist Anton, bassist Harry and drummer Felix meet, jam together and feel comfortable with it. This important event soon leads to the formation of the band Basalt. The first songs are soon written, and the shared conviction to write German-language lyrics is also quickly reached. They are able to book their first performances in the same year and the ball starts rolling at the beginning of 2020.

Similar to Indiana Jones, they first have to collect themselves after such a chase and take a deep breath in order to once again spruce up the concert audience’s hair in 2022 with loud guitars, deep bass and driving beats. Driven by this euphoria, the three musicians soon start recording their songs and release their first song, »Kind«, on July 14th, 2023. A little later, on August 11th, 2023, the corresponding EP is released. With this brutal release behind them, they will be appearing on a festival stage for the first time at the end of August.
