Charlottesville, Virginia based stoner/progressive sludge trio Üga Büga is gearing up to release their debut album »Year Of The Hog« on July 19th, 2024.

Bassist Niko Cvetanovich about the upcoming album: “»Year Of The Hog« is a post-apocalyptic concept record. Our first single, »Righteous Man« released on March 1st, 2024, spun a tale of societal decay; a contingent of man fall victim to their anger and greed, trading in their human bodies and transforming into a new race of boar-men. Drawing upon diverse lyrical influences such as Lord of the Rings, Bolt Thrower and Dragonball Z, the rest of the album »Year Of The Hog« conceives of this novel dystopian world dripping with mythos.

Promotionally, Üga Büga has been utilizing both organic and digital means to attract potential fans. Working diligently on bringing our best performances, we have been touring our market (VA, NC, MD, WV) consistently. This has led us accomplishing many goals such as selling out our local club in Charlottesville to playing the legendary DIY venue Crayola House in Harrisonburg, making friends with bands and fans along the way.”
