The enchanting hard rock band Occult Witches will release its 4th full-length album, »Sorrow’s Pyre«, on July 12th, 2024 via Black Throne Productions. By combining elements of 70s hard rock with blues and baroque classical music, Occult Witches creates moody, mystical atmospheres that recall their love for bands such as Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath. »Sorrow’s Pyre« offers a collection of imaginative narratives about witches, magic, corruption, and the nature of faith. The songs tell their stories through the eyes of many different characters as they each navigate their own internal and external conflicts. The overarching theme of the album ties these stories together with a focus on the dangers of making evil choices, as nearly every song presents its main character with a choice between good and evil in different settings. These themes take on a new life with the band’s unique combination of musical influences, which sound both nostalgic and forward-thinking in the same way that their influences did.

The band comments, “Overall, the album talks a lot about Satan and making bad choices, where that takes you. Also witches and not having a pure soul.
