Mexican black/sludge metal group Tempter premiere new music video for »Ser Poder«!
Guadalajara, Mexico based black/sludge metal group Tempter has released a music video for »Ser Poder«.
»Ser Poder« is the third single taken from Tempter’s upcoming EP »Posesión«.

With over 14 years in the Mexican metal scene, Tempter presents their latest music video titled »Ser Poder«, from their EP »Posesión« released in 2024. This release marks a new chapter in the band’s journey, with their first official video consolidating their experience and audiovisual proposal as one of the most powerful and innovative projects within the local Tapatio Mexican metal scene.
Directed by Edith García and René Hernández, the music video for »Ser Poder« fuses the band’s sonic brutality with an intense visual narrative that tackles themes such as the invocation of beings of power, sorcerers, and the presence of “El Tentador” celebrating the ritual of possession in a coven filled with dark magic, pleasure, lust, and sin. The video was filmed in the La Primavera Forest at Río Caliente, highlighting a raw visual style that reflects the darkness and power of the band’s signature sound.
“»Ser Poder« is one of the most intense songs we’ve composed. We wanted the video to capture the force and brutality of what ‘El Tentador’ represents,” comments René Hernández (the band’s vocalist).
Post-producer Paulo IIXL comments: “The challenge was to create a video that visually matched the power of the song without losing the depth of the supreme presence that the band wanted to convey.”
