Winds Of Tragedy’s mastermind Sergio González Catalán (My Dearest Wound, Rise To The Sky) commented:
“On Friday the 13th, I will be releasing what I consider some of the most mature work of my musical career: the new Winds Of Tragedy album »Death Wash Over Me«. Earlier this year, I also released the DSBM album »The Weight Of Life Was Greater« with My Dearest Wound, inspired by the tragic story of 25 suicides at the Costanera Center in Santiago, Chile.
While depressive black metal and DSBM are often dismissed as pointless, juvenile, or difficult to understand, these albums represent serious and honest explorations of topics such as depression, self-harm, and suicide. These subjects are not just themes – they are real and pervasive issues that demand a raw and genuine approach.

I consider these albums among the most profound and impactful works I have created. They are written for the hidden, often unacknowledged parts of the soul – the places where pain, despair, and vulnerability reside. These are the corners we rarely allow others to see.
»Death Wash Over Me« and »The Weight Of Life Was Greater« are not easy listens; they are meant to challenge, provoke, and resonate deeply. They are dedicated to those who grapple with the shadows within, offering a voice for the unheard and a space for emotions that are often stigmatized or ignored.
Both albums are available exclusively via Tragedy Productions / End My Life Records: tragedyproductions.bandcamp.com.”
