Berlin, Germany based doomcore/sludge metal band Voltron stream their fourth full-length album, »The Slow Dying Of Light«, which was released on December 13th, 2024.

Prior to that, Voltron released a compilation album »Previously On Voltron Is Victory« on October 18th, 2024. Best of Voltron from 20 years.

Doom thrash meets metal stoner punk. As a side dish, intensity. and a fist in the face. We call it doomcore blood-snatching. Because it has to be pigeonholed.

Voltron are constantly on the move. Members come and go, what remains is Voltron. Now there are four of them, no less intense. Active for 15 years. The roller of viscous heaviness still takes no prisoners, even if these days a little musical light seems to shine through the darkness here and there. The songs continue to meander through the thicket of abysses and Voltron are still a wall whose force brings great joy, on record and live no less.

Founded in 2001. Three EPs (»Daisy Cutter«, »Inside The Men There Were Three Bullets«, »T-34«) before the first three LPs were released: »Beyond An Armoured Skin« (2007 – “A damn milestone in heavyness that is unrivalled in this country.” Ox-fanzine) and »Kaventsmann« (2012 – “Definitely a highlight of Central European heavy music of recent times!” Partyausfall.de) and »Kollapsar« (2017 – “This is dark stuff of the highest quality” crossfire-metal.de). Now the fourth LP has finally been recorded, »The Slow Dying Of Light« is here.
