Psychedelic horizons expand: Fomies announce new album »Liminality« – Out April 11th, 2025 via Taxi Gauche Records
Fomies’ new album »Liminality« is here to transform the musical landscape. Drawing inspiration from genre heavyweights like Osees, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Wand, and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, this Swiss quintet delivers a powerful, genre-defying journey that pushes the boundaries of heavy psych and krautrock.
The 12-track album begins with an unrelenting surge of raw energy in »The Onion Man«, setting the tone for an epic exploration of sound and emotion. From there, the listener is catapulted into the staggering three-part suite »Colossus I, II, III« – an explosive triptych that unfolds like a kaleidoscopic fever dream.

But Fomies knows how to balance intensity with moments of introspection. The hypnotic »Pause Cigarette« provides a lush breather, steeped in kraut-shoegaze atmospheres, before launching headfirst into the mosh pit anthem »Neon Gloom«. And just when you think you’ve reached the album’s emotional peak, the closing track »Upheaval« shatters every limit, bringing »Liminality« to a transcendent and liberating conclusion.
True to its name, »Liminality« embodies transformation and renewal. It’s an invitation to embrace change, shed the past, and journey into the unknown.
The album’s fuzz-laden riffs, visceral grooves, and otherworldly soundscapes make it a must-hear for fans of immersive, boundary-pushing rock.
