Introducing: Instrumental doom/stoner/heavy psych/prog rock trio Purple Hermits from Guadalajara, Mexico!

Purple Hermits is a Russian-Mexican instrumental trio operating at the fringes of sound, blending psychedelia, stoner, doom and progressive influences through improvised sessions that evolve into expansive lisergic/structures and inmersive sonic layers. Their music invites a deeply sensory and auditory joruney.
In June 2024, they released their debut EP »Silver Globe« via Látigo distributer, featuring the tracks »On The Peak Of The Mountain« and »Jaguar Meets Snake«. The release has been featured on platforms like Psyheads Radio, Valles Morten. Vol. 597, Turn Me On, Dead Man and Resonancia on Radio UdeG.
Later that year, the band made their live debut at the Noche Psicodélica showcase at The Basement, sharing stage with acts such as Fabriccio de la Mora y su Nuevo Conjunto Musical, Timoti la Moto Casco and Jesus Presley.
In September, the trifecta made their first appearance under the wing of Catharsis, a local promoter dedicated to alternative and underground music. This marked the beginning of a strong band-promoter alliance, with a show at Anestesia Bar alongside Tempter, Espectro de la Conciencia, and Ruinas, supporting the Mexico City-based duo Terror Cósmico.

In early 2025, the instrumental trio joined the lineup of the Festivall del Riff Vol. II, a DIY gig from local bands of Guadalajara, Jalisco, alongside Bury Me In The Desert, Anima Sola and Hurricane Soul Acid from Querétaro. Later they supported the return of Apocalipsis and Malastre, joined by The Summon at Anexo Independencia by Catharsis.
One year after their live debut, Purple Hermits will perform on June 6 in Mexico City, sharing the stage with Jaspe and Vinnum Sabbathi under the banner of LSDR Records. This marks their first show outside their hometown, expanding their presence within the national underground circuit.
