The lyrical hero of Thunder Volt is thrown into the cold and ruthless millstones of senseless survival and tries to feel the pulse of the Mythical and Sacred, primordial and eternally Alive, but hiding from modernity deeper and deeper. These are the songs of a soul rushing between hope and disappointment, constantly rejected by the world and in an endless search for a home that is everywhere and nowhere.
Thunder Volt’s new album Wild Ride is changing the rules and firmly insists on becoming a new word in modern heavy music. Dry vintage drums, fat fuzz guitars in the spirit of a Model-T amp, steely bass and explosive demonic growl – all this is organically mixed and alchemically verified. They are like reborn, reinterpreted and improved sludge and grunge bands of the late 80s and early 90s. Post-apocalyptic motifs are replaced by epic passages – both heroes and monsters live here. Creativity comes first. Instead of excesses, there is precision, conciseness and love for listeners. But still it is an uncompromising and fierce heavy metal. It sounds cheerful, cheeky, and even melancholic things keep the atmosphere on edge. The unique female vocals at the limit of human capabilities, dramatic melodism, groovy rhythms sound not only powerful, but also musical. Saddle your horse and hold on tight, a wild ride awaits you.
