Atlanta’s own Broken Trinity unleashes their latest visual assault with »Offspring Forged From Deathless Souls«, a standout track from their long-awaited debut full-length, »Challenges Of Gods And Mortals«.

After six years of meticulous crafting, Broken Trinity has released their highly anticipated debut full-length, »Challenges Of Gods And Mortals« – an epic blackened doom/death metal journey that fuses Viking lore, spiritual exploration, and mythic storytelling into a thunderous, immersive experience.

The album captures the band’s evolution from their earliest ideas to their most refined sonic assaults. Listeners are pulled into tales of epic battles, the wisdom of Odin, religious history, and modern spirituality, all layered over crushing riffs, blistering blackened passages, and haunting doom atmospheres. This is metal on a grand scale – cinematic, intricate, and unapologetically heavy.

“»Challenges Of Gods And Mortals« is the culmination of six years of fine-tuning our skills and production facilities,” says the band. “It represents everything we love about classic doom metal while embracing epic, progressive structures, Viking chants, and the icy intensity of Nordic black metal.”

Produced and mixed by Sean Morrissey and Ray Adriano, and mastered by Alex Parra (Paladin), the album delivers a polished yet ferocious sound that fully realizes the band’s ambitious vision. Fans of Draconian, Emperor, and My Dying Bride will feel right at home in Broken Trinity’s layered and expansive soundscape.

The lineup behind this monumental release includes Steven Cannon (lead vocals, lyrics, concept design), Ray Adriano (guitars, bass), and Sean Morrissey (guitars, programming, backing vocals). The band also credits Angelo Sasso on drums – continuing a long-running metal tradition of naming a “fictional” drummer for programmed percussion. Inspired by bands like Running Wild during their »Victory« era and later adopted by various European acts, Broken Trinity proudly carries the torch as one of the first American bands to embrace this tongue-in-cheek homage while utilizing drum programming both live and in the studio.

A key influence behind the band’s sonic identity stems from decades of immersion in the underground scene, including extensive experience with Vibrations of Doom Magazine and Doom Radio. That deep-rooted connection to the genre helped shape the band’s stylistic direction, blending classic doom foundations with blackened and progressive elements into something both authentic and forward-thinking.

The album’s release has already sparked major fan support, with Broken Trinity being named Band of the Month (February 2026) after pulling in a massive 46,705 votes in the Battle of the Bands – a clear sign that this debut is hitting hard with the metal faithful.
