Boise, Idaho based blackened sludge metal trio Shadow And Claw has just released their debut album »Whereabouts Unknown« on September 13th, 2024. Available now on CD and digital format while Fiadh Productions is handeling the cassette edition.

Chaotic, contemplative and fierce, Shadow And Claw emerges from Boise, Idaho as a new force of Northwestern heavy metal. With their blend of Cascadian black metal, high desert sludge, and meditative ambience, the trio is primed to become known as a band that carves out their own path in heavy music with demoniac fury and haunting elegance.

Says the band: “Our debut album »Whereabouts Unknown« was released to this burning world on Friday, September 13th, 2024.

When this band started in 2023, we formed purely out of the love of all things heavy and made the extra-conscious decision to be loud as hell. In making this album, these five songs came together rather quickly and almost effortlessly – as though we needed to get something off our chests and express our disdain for all things that threaten the existence of life on this planet.

We weren’t afraid to wear our influences on our sleeves with these songs, but also wanted to create something that is indeed our own. Perhaps most importantly, we wanted to create music that anyone is welcome to listen to, if they wish, for it is no easy task to ponder the cruelty of humanity in the name of survival.”
