Sunwise hails from the American Midwest, with its members spread across the prairies of Illinois. Encoded in their DNA lies traces of a historically battle tested framework – Champaign’s big guitars, Kansas City’s dissonance, and Chicago’s aggression. »Crime Gardens«, the band’s first full-length, twists and turns through a unique soundscape, alternating between unashamedly forthright rock and, at times, haunting textures and melodies.

»Crime Gardens« was recorded in multiple dwellings in the Eldritch prairies of Illinois, the Graveyard of the Nation, over the course of some years by J. Blucas with additional tracking by C. Kolasa and Colin Larson.
