Washington DC, Maryland based gothic/doom metal band Torvus has just released their new studio album »Words Within« on June 28th, 2024.

While having their roots in death/doom metal, Torvus has channeled an evolved sound since their early, filth ridden full-lengths, »Metu Deorum« from 2018 and »The Innate Disease« from 2021, that is most akin to the gothic, melodic, post-punk-tinged likings of bands such as Type O Negative and Paradise Lost at their prime. New album to be released in 2024.

The band stated: “We are beyond ecstatic to announce our new album, titled »Words Within«, set to be released on June 28th. We have spent the last three years writing, revising, and shaping the songs to match our vision. Through trials and tribulations, we are pleased to finally present our latest work to the world. »Words Within« is eight tracks blending gothic, post punk-tinged, doom metal reminiscent of Paradise Lost, Woods Of Ypres, Sentenced, Type O Negative, and Sisters Of Mercy.”
