Formed in 2018 in Fresno, California Alone In My Room is a three-piece built on restraint, repetition, and control. The project is led by Ryan Phillips, who handles composition and production, with Nathan Bolls on bass and Matthew Sosa on lead guitar.

On May 25, 2025, the band released their debut album »Nature Of The Beast« which established the band’s gritty and lo-fi atmosphere that walks the line between gothic post-punk, doom metal and dark-wave without fully settling into either.

Later in the year on October 25, the EP »Into Your Eye« pushed further into that direction. The material feels more distilled, with a stronger emphasis on repetition and tonal shifts, reinforcing the band’s interest in immersion over immediacy. Across both releases, there’s a consistent thread of occult influences and lo-fi postpunk chaos with themes of existing within solitude, and featuring inspirations from some of the greats such as Black Sabbath, Pentagram, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, and Danzig, all with a welcome touch of dark-wave atmosphere.

Alone In My Room’s music is measured and intentional, with a clear focus on pacing and tone. As »Nature Of The Beast« reaches its one-year mark, the album is for the first time being released on 180g Transparent / Metallic “Gold Black Ice” Vinyl through Black Throne Productions.
