Baltimore, Maryland based heavy psych rockers Nova Koloso premiere new single and music video »The Devotional« today.

»The Devotional« and the second single »Electric Emblem« are taken from the band’s upcoming album, »Source Code«, scheduled for release on July 17th, 2026 via Big Curve Music.

Nova Koloso »Source Code« Press Release:

Baltimore, MD – Baltimore-based psych rock band Nova Koloso has announced the release of its new album »Source Code«, arriving July 17, 2026 on Big Curve Music. The album’s first singles, »The Devotional« and »Electric Emblem« are available now on Apple Music and Bandcamp, alongside a new music video for »The Devotional«.

Across seven tracks, »Source Code« blends psych, prog, dark grooves, and riff-driven songwriting into a sound that moves between hypnotic atmosphere and heavy momentum. Fans of bands like All Them Witches, King Buffalo, Queens Of The Stone Age, and the two Kings (Crimson and Gizzard) may find familiar territory, but Nova Koloso pulls those influences into its own distinct space.

While Nova Koloso began during the pandemic years as a recording project between brothers Mark & Tom Colegrove, the band expanded in 2023 to the current lineup of Tim Yungwirth on guitar, Morgan Bell on bass and Dustin Moraczewski on keys, and »Source Code« is the first studio album from the band in their full form.

»Source Code« will be available on a CD as well as a limited double vinyl via Big Curve Music. The vinyl includes a “bonus side” of material featuring a cover of the Police’s »Synchronicity I« which was recorded as part of the »Source Code« sessions, along with a sampling of live tracks taken from the band’s 2025 »Live At The Watermelon Room« album.
